Back to last night, I said I was gonna have something "soft" for dinner, but this momma ended up hungry!!! Several months ago, I attended a Celebrating Homes party and bought several pieces of the bake ware, and haven't used them all yet. Well, I found this recipe for my Bean Pot and decided to try it!
(This is my pretty little Bean Pot!)
And this is what I made...Sweet and Sour Pork chops with Red Peppers. It was MUCH better than "soft"! It was filling too! :)
We had brownies for dessert!
And Abi was my little helper! She helped lick the beaters!
After supper, we cleaned up and Abi wanted to play the Wii. She cracks me up when she's in there by herself and thinks no one is looking. She'll be talking 90 to nothing to that t.v.
Today was fun, out and about with the girls! We had lunch with my grandmother, went to visit Brandon for the last time at the firehouse, and to see my mom at work. After that we went back to my mom's to wait on everybody to get off work. We played the Wii, and Abi pulled out her MP3 player she got for Christmas. She's been listening to it non-stop for like 3 days now! She's so funny. The other night Brandon walked through the living room and she said, "Daddy, do you like wiping momma's sadie?" He said "What?, Momma has a sadie?", she said "yeah, do you like wiping momma's sadie?", so matter-of factly, like we were total dummies! I put in her headphones and she was listening to that song "I like Big Butts, and I can not lie". There's a part in there that says something about riding in a Mercedes!!! We both died laughing!!! And Adele's song "Rumor has it" she says "Booma Gadget". So funny!
When my mom made it home, we looked at some of the stuff for my sister's wedding and I got ready to meet up with a few old friends for dinner. A few of us that graduated together, met at Beef 'O Brady's to start planning our 10 year reunion...yes, it's been 10 whole years!!! I can't believe it. I just loved our class. I remember we all got along so well, so I was really excited about tonight. I talk to several of them from time to time, but we seldom seem to be in the same place at the same time. Tonight, it was like we just picked up where we left off. We all knew what the others brought to the table, and got alot accomplished. Our Homecoming is middle October this year, so hopefully it won't be TOO hot! Since I'll be 9 months pregnant!!! We planned lots of great things for the weekend, including a family picnic. I can't wait to meet everybody's babies! :) Here are a few pics from the meeting.
Tomorrow I plan on a more low key day. Little cleaning, little resting, and a little sitting by the pool!!
